How does billing work?
Paid plans are one-time purchases that give you access for 30 days. There's no automatic recurring billing — we'll send you email reminders at 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before your access expires so you can renew if you'd like to continue. If you don't renew, your account will simply revert to the free plan.
What happens when I exceed my monthly quota?
If you exceed your monthly quota, API requests will return a 429 error. You can upgrade your plan at any time to continue using the service. Quotas reset on the 1st of each month.
Is my data stored or logged?
No. We perform all validation in-memory with zero data storage. ID numbers are never logged or stored in any database. We only track usage counts for billing purposes, not the actual ID numbers.
Can I cancel or change my plan anytime?
Yes! Plans are one-time purchases valid for 30 days. You can upgrade anytime — just pay the difference. To downgrade, simply don't renew and your plan will revert to Free when it expires. We'll send you a reminder email before your plan expires so you can renew if you wish.
How accurate is the validation?
Our validation uses the official South African ID number format algorithm, including date validation, gender encoding, citizenship status, and Luhn checksum verification. It validates the format and mathematical correctness, but cannot verify if the ID actually belongs to a real person.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you're not satisfied with the service, contact us within 14 days for a full refund.
